Your Prescription Is Ready!
It’s time to renew your musical prescription for feel-good funk, soul, and R&B! Please join us Monday night at 10:30 in The Lounge at the Palms as we ring in 2011 with our first show of the new year. We are looking forward to many exciting things this year, and we hope to see you all for our weekly revivals! If you have friends who’ve never seen the band, this is the year to get them out and show them what the power of music can do for the soul! Here’s to a great 2011, and we hope to see you all tonight!
A GREAT 2010!
Please join us tonight, 12/27, at 10:30 at the Palms for our final show of 2010! We want to thank you all so much for your continued support of our funky family and weekly musical healing. You have been there for us through every venue change, every special event, every new CD release. YOU are the reason we do what we do. Thanks to you all for a wonderful 2010. Here’s to a soulful 2011 and the exciting things to come!
The Santa Fe Super Store-One Stop Shopping!
Just a reminder…the weather outside may be frightful, but tonight in the Lounge at The Palms at 10:30, the funk will be soul delightful! Please join us tonight for our regular musical healing session! Like the great blues man Muddy Waters said, “If it’s good to ya, then it gots to be good for ya”!
Also, if you’re looking for the perfect gift for the music lovers in your life, or perhaps a last-minute stocking stuffer, look no further than the Santa Fe Super Store! There, you will find all of our CD releases including our newest, “When the Curtain Goes Up”. You’ll also find all of our live recordings, DVDs, hats, and t-shirts. Plus, you can find solo recordings from several members of the band as well as a few of our guest artists. So, please be sure to check out the Santa Fe Super Store on your way in or out from the gig, say hi to Lorraine, and pick up some musical healing to go!
BroadwayWorld.com/Las Vegas awards
Earlier this week, it came to our attention, as well as being a complete and total, yet wonderful surprise, that our funky little musical family had been nominated for best band in Las Vegas! The nomination information and voting all take place through BroadwayWorld.com. This is a site dedicated to all the theatrical arts, not only in New York, but in other cities such as right here in Las Vegas. Here is what the site says:
“The BroadwayWorld.com 2010 Las Vegas Awards are intended to reflect all that is entertainment in this most unique city. Whether it is strictly entertainment — concerts and shows — or those facets of Las Vegas that people come to see — the fabulous theme hotels, the trend-setting hotel architecture, the extravagant only-in-Las-Vegas attractions — here it’s all about entertainment. So, in recognizing this City of Entertainment, the BroadwayWorld awards take it all into account. There is nowhere else like Las Vegas and these awards hope to, in some way, celebrate that”.
Please know that we do not do what we do for awards or accolades…it’s all about the music and sharing the love! But if you’d like to share your enthusiasm for our band, what we do, and why, stop by the site and vote. Voting ends on 1/15/2011. As always, we could not do what we do without your love and support. Without you, we are nothing!

Ricky Peterson lays on musical hands…
Those of you who were part of the packed house Monday night were treated to the amazing keyboard dexterity, musicality, and passion of our friend and brother Ricky Peterson. He joined us on synth for “You Need A Hero”, then jumped to the piano for a blazing solo on “Wishing Well”. If you were not aware, he has worked with a virtual who’s who in the music business and has several amazing recordings of his own. Check them out, you’ll thank us later! Much thanks to Ricky for sharing his gifts with us!
